Bulúgh Al-Marám- Min Àdilat al Àhkám

Bulugh al-Maram min Adillat al-Ahkam (translation: Attainment of the Objective According to Evidences of the Ordinances).
Imam Ibn Hajr was born in Egypt in 773 A H. He grew up as an orphan; his father died when he was four years old, his mother had died before that when he was a baby. Therefore he came under the guardianship of Abu Bakr al-Kharuby, a trader who paid him a great deal of interest. He memorized the Qur'an by heart when he was nine, and at age eleven he performed Hajj in Mecca. Ibn Hajr was a well versed scholar, he travelled to many Islamic territories seeking for knowledge. In this course he visited Yemen twice and received knowledge from learned people there. He visited Hijaz. He went off to Syria, the land of faith and piety, in 802 A H and stayed in Damascus for a hundred days learning from the traditionists there and teaching the scholars.
Ibn Hajr worked in teaching Islamic sciences in the mosques and places of knowledge in Cairo. He preceded over the office of judgement in Cairo for many years, and although he was displeased with that office he gave very just judgements in accordance with the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger.
He devoted himself to serve Islam, so he worked hard in many fields, composing books, preaching and delivering sermons in mosques, giving decisions regarding juristic odnances. He authored many valuable books concerning all subjects of the Islamic sciences including explanation of the meaning of the Qur'anic verses, the science of Hadith and Islamic Jurisprudence. He died in Cairo in 852 A H. May Allah show him mercy.
