Dealing with Zakat is a very important knowledge which someone within a Muslim community must always be aware of, since it is a collective duty on the community to make sure that Zakat is properly collected and distributed. In a traditional Muslim community this duty is lifted by the Khalifah or his deputy, but in a modern Muslim society it is normally handled differently.
